Some members of our current team have been here for almost the entire journey. Others have joined us more recently. Some started their careers here, whilst others arrived with years of experience behind them. Together, they represent different chapters of FMW’s story and the community it has become today.
To celebrate our 10th Anniversary. we asked our team what working at Fulham Massage & Wellness means to them.
A place to grow
Professional development has always been an important part of life at FMW, and across our therapists’ reflections, one theme came through again and again: growth.
For Ludovica, Clinical Therapist, that growth has been both professional and personal. “Working at Fulham Massage & Wellness is something I feel truly grateful for. From the moment I joined the team, I have felt welcomed, supported and valued. Over the years, I have grown so much, both professionally and personally, and the clinic has become much more than just a place where I work; it has become a safe place for me.”
That sense of having the space and support to develop is something Sara, Deep Tissue Massage Therapist, also recognises after three years with FMW. “For me, these three years have been a journey of learning, growing and becoming more confident in my work, in my own way and at my own pace. I’m grateful for the people and the environment that have allowed that growth to happen.”
For Eliza, Clinical Therapist, joining FMW as her first sports therapy role also meant beginning her career in a new country. “As my first job as a sports therapist, having such a supportive team around me while starting my career has meant a lot. I’ve always had people I can go to, whether it’s for advice, questions or just a bit of support, and that has made my experience working in the UK as a Canadian such a positive one.” The experience hasn't been without its challenges, but those have become part of her development. “I’ve definitely been pushed out of my comfort zone, but I think that’s helped me grow in confidence, develop my skills and eventually find my own style as a therapist. The hands-on training and being able to learn from everyone around me has also been a huge part of that.”
Mollie, Clinical Therapist, similarly values the opportunity to develop alongside other practitioners. “It’s been a great place for me to grow as a therapist, learn from others and build my confidence. I’m really grateful for all the experiences and memories I’ve made here so far, and it’s lovely to be part of the clinic’s 10-year milestone.”
Learning from one another
At FMW, learning doesn't only happen through formal training. It happens in conversations, through shared experiences and by working alongside people with different strengths and perspectives.
Few people have seen that develop for as long as Fran, Remedial Massage Therapist, who has been part of FMW for nearly nine of its ten years.
“I have been working at Fulham Massage & Wellness for nearly nine years and have absolutely loved working here. I guess that’s why I am still here! It’s not only the clinic, which is such a great place to learn and meet other wonderful therapists, but also the clients. I have gotten to know so many lovely clients over the years.” Having worked alongside Agata and Fran for so much of FMW’s story, she also reflects on the role they have played in creating that environment. “I have known Agata and Fran for a long time, and they are so helpful and generous with their knowledge and time. They have created a great place to work and to help improve clients’ lives.”
For Alessandro, Remedial Massage Therapist, who has been part of the team for just under a year, learning has come alongside a strong sense of community. “I still remember the first team dinner I was part of and how welcome I felt. Everyone takes care of each other, and that really reflects into the care that goes into every client’s treatment.” For him, that relationship between how a team treats one another and how it looks after its clients captures something important about FMW: “That’s the thing about this place: the care doesn’t stop at the treatment table, it’s just part of who we are. Happy 10 years to a team I’m proud to be part of.”
A community built around care
The idea of care recurs throughout the team’s reflections and extends beyond the treatment room.
Ludovica describes the relationships between colleagues and clients as one of the things that makes FMW special. “What makes Fulham Massage & Wellness so special is the incredible sense of family we share. From the owners and my wonderful colleagues to the clients who have become such an important part of our journey, there is a genuine feeling of connection, care, support and belonging. I love coming to work knowing that I am surrounded by people who support one another and share the same passion for what we do.”
For Sara, what stands out is the balance between that human connection and professional standards. “What I value most is the balance between professionalism and genuine human care. There is a clear sense of purpose in the work here, creating a professional and supportive environment where both clients and practitioners are valued and cared for.”
Mollie also sees that community in the relationships built both within the team and with clients. “What I love most is the people, both the amazing team and the clients we get to see and build relationships with. Everyone brings something different to the clinic, and there’s such a great sense of community.”
And for Eliza, the clients and wider community surrounding the clinic have become an important part of her own experience at FMW. “I’ve really enjoyed working with such great clients and being part of the community around the clinic. Overall, I’m really grateful for the experience I’ve had at Fulham Massage & Wellness, the people I’ve met and everything I’ve been able to learn along the way.”
Growing alongside FMW
Growth at FMW hasn't only happened in the treatment rooms.
Cinzia, Clinic Operations Manager, joined the clinic five years ago in a part-time Front of House role, at a point when difficult previous experiences had pushed her away from management. “From the beginning, FMW showed me that a different kind of working environment was possible, one where I felt seen, heard and supported. Working alongside Agata and Fran gradually gave me the confidence to step back into management and inspired me to become the best manager I can be. Over the past five years, I’ve grown alongside the clinic, learnt so much and continued to learn every day.”
Moving from Front of House into clinic management has also meant watching other people’s journeys unfold. “One of the things I’m most proud of is the team we have built and being able to watch people grow and develop within FMW. There have certainly been challenges along the way, but being part of that journey and supporting the team through both the good and difficult moments has made my own role incredibly rewarding. FMW has been such an important part of my own professional and personal journey, and looking back at where I started five years ago makes me incredibly proud of what we have built together.”
The people behind the experience
Our Front of House team is often the first hello when a client arrives and the last goodbye before they leave. They help create the experience around every treatment and are an important part of the relationships that make the clinic what it is.
For Alishba, Front of House, who recently joined the team, it is the positivity of that environment that stands out. “I love working at Fulham Massage & Wellness because it’s such a welcoming and positive environment. I’m proud to be part of a team that genuinely cares about clients and their wellbeing and spends every day contributing to it. I love being able to contribute to creating a relaxing and positive experience for everyone who walks through the door.”
For Madison, Front of House, FMW has an additional significance: it was her first job. “My time at Fulham Massage & Wellness has been incredible. I am so thankful to have been part of such an amazing and supportive team over the past two years. Over my time here, I have learnt so much, not only professionally but also personally. I have gained confidence, developed new skills and had the opportunity to meet so many amazing people.”
And whilst Kelly, Front of House, is one of the newest members of FMW, she has already experienced that same welcome. “Although I’ve only been part of the Fulham Massage & Wellness team for a short time, I already feel so lucky to have joined such a lovely and welcoming place. Everyone is incredibly friendly and supportive. The environment is so warm and positive. I’m excited to see what the future brings.”
Celebrating ten years together
Ten years represents thousands of individual moments: therapists learning from one another, Front of House welcoming someone through the door, colleagues supporting each other through challenging days, clients reaching milestones of their own and relationships developing over years of treatments.
Different roles. Different experiences. Different journeys.
But across their reflections, the same things keep appearing: people, care, growth, support and community.
Perhaps that is the best way to celebrate ten years of Fulham Massage & Wellness, not simply by looking back at how much has changed, but by recognising the people who have helped make it what it is today.
Happy 10th anniversary, Fulham Massage & Wellness, from the team that makes it happen every day.
