In this interview, she shares her journey, what inspires her, and some fun insights into her life.

1.        What inspired you to become a Sports Massage Therapist, and what has your journey been like?

I’ve always been fascinated by the human body and how interconnected everything is. Growing up, I had a strong interest in health and wellness and was very active in sports. It wasn’t until I experienced the benefits of massage therapy firsthand that I truly felt inspired to pursue it as a career. I have suffered from muscle tension and stress, and after receiving a few therapeutic massages, I was amazed at how much better I felt, both physically and emotionally. MW 1

I realised how massage could relieve pain and promote overall well-being. I wanted to be part of that process, helping others feel better, recover faster, and improve their quality of life. I love that massage therapy allows me to work with people from all walks of life, addressing their unique needs and seeing the positive changes firsthand. It's incredibly rewarding to see how much of a difference targeted therapy can make, whether it's helping someone return to their favourite activity or simply improving their quality of life.

  1. What’s your favourite part of working with clients as a therapist?

My favourite part of working with clients is seeing the immediate, positive impact I can have on their well-being. There's something very gratifying about helping someone experience relief from pain, tension, or stress during a session. I also love the connections I build with clients. Every person is unique, and I enjoy the process of understanding their specific needs, whether it’s physical discomfort, emotional stress, or a combination of both, and tailoring my approach to help them feel their best.

  1. What’s the most common issue or complaint you see among clients, and how do you address it?

TMJ disfunction is becoming a more common condition I have seen clients presenting with. This can be caused by stress, teeth grinding and jaw misalignment among other reasons. Clients may experience pain, clicking, or limited movement in the jaw, headaches, or discomfort around the face, ears, and neck. Targeted massage around the jaw, neck, and upper back can reduce tension in the muscles and help alleviate pain and discomfort.

  1. What’s one thing you wish more people knew about Massage therapy?

One thing I wish more people knew about massage therapy is that you don’t have to be in pain to be eligible to have a treatment. You can come in solely for the purpose of switching off, stress relief, relaxation or simply because you enjoy it!

  1. What’s a hidden talent or hobby you have that might surprise people?

1000059361I would count myself as quite a good baker!

  1. How do you maintain your own physical health while doing such a hands-on and demanding job?

I take part in 1:1 boxing sessions each week, which is something I have always wanted to do but only started practicing when I moved to London. Over the course of the past 6 months, I have really enjoyed attending yoga classes which have helped increase my mobility and strength, as well as being good for the mind and soul. I enjoy swimming which I have done from a young age and going for walks on days off.

  1. Do you have a personal mantra or motto that guides you in life?

Do what makes you happy. 1000059364
