1.     Where are you from, Ludovica, and what brought you to London?

I’m from Italy, from Marche, IMG 20240430 WA0006in the central east side of Italy. I came to the UK after finishing high school to study sports therapy and rehab. This type of course wasn’t available in Italy so I decided to move over here and invest in that.

  1. How did you become a soft tissue therapist?

It started from a passion for sports therapy. I was always into sports, especially basketball. I remember always watching TV and looking at therapists running on the pitch and helping athletes. Athlete’s body is like their tool to make careers and money, so they trust their therapist to make them fit to play and perform at their best. I wanted that so that’s where it started.

  1. What’s your favourite part of being a therapist?

Being able to see the changes in people’s bodies and how they are able to move better, see, and enjoy life better.

  1. Have you got any hidden talents?

Haha, I don’t think so.

  1. How do you like spending your free time?

IMG 20240430 WA0005I would say watching a lot of sports TV. I also like spending time outdoors when the weather allows, but mainly with my friends. I’m not the best at doing stuff by myself. I do like listening to music, exploring London, and finding nice places like bars, restaurants, and undiscovered hidden gems.

  1. Where do you see yourself in 10- 20 years?

Sports therapist for Arsenal women, with family, kids, living in London.

  1. What's your favourite film or book?

Don’t really have one, it depends on my mood, it changes. But if I had to choose, probably the top 3 would be "Coach Carter", "Dear John" and " Law abiding citizen".

  1. What are your 3 dream holiday destinations?

New York, Thailand, Japan.

  1. Do you have a favourite family tradition?

I wouldn’t call it a tradition, but in Italy, we gather everyone under one roof and enjoy time together for each of the main holidays – like Easter, Christmas, Bank Holidays, and special birthdays. I like that.

  1. What makes you feel better when you're upset or angry?

IMG-20240430-WA0009.jpgDefinitely a walk outside with music on.

  1. If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why

I don’t know why it came to my mind, but I would say a koala. Probably as they’re hugging, cuddly type.

  1. On a scale of 0 to 10, how good of a cook/ chef are you?

I would score myself 8 or 8.5 so pretty good. My baking skills might need improvement, but cooking is good.

  1. What is your greatest accomplishment?

For now, it will be getting a degree with First Class Honours in a foreign language.

  1. What do you need more of in your life?

More time to spend with my family or have my family closer, and sometimes more confidence as well. IMG 20240430 WA0004

  1. Who are you most like in your family?

An aunt of mine. My family would say we are always ready to help, put other people’s needs first, prioritise others over ourselves.

  1. What’s your favourite childhood memory?

Spending summers with my grandparents, we would rent a house in the mountains and spend time with them.
