Therapist Spotlight - Claire

This month we have interviewed Claire, our lovely therapist. Find out what she is like outside of the treatment room here:

Claire, where are you from and what brought you to London?

I’m from Brighton originally and I moved up to London for a work opportunity and to be with my boyfriend and friends. It’s also a bit more exciting to be here.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?

I just finished the book that I really enjoyed, it’s a novel called The Nightingale

What are you known for among your family and friends?Claire 1

Probably just being a bit giggly and being the youngest in my family

What inspires you?

People who are really passionate and who really believe in something

If you had a chance for a “do-over” in life, what would you do differently?

Maybe I would have moved up to London sooner but otherwise, I’m a pretty lucky person and very happy with my life.

What do you feel most proud of?

I think I am quite hard on myself and don’t always think about what I achieved but I guess it would be getting my degree in Osteopathy.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?

I’d love to go to Vietnam mainly because of the landscape – it looks so beautiful and so different compared to here. I would also love to experience the culture.

If you could only keep five possessions, what would they be?

1. my kindle so I have lots and lots of booksClaire 3

2. my running trainers

3. music is also very important

4. a locket I was given on my 21st birthday with a self-drawn portrait of my sister in it

5. friends and family - although they are not possessions, I can’t imagine my life without them

Why did you choose osteopathy and massage therapy as a profession?

I find it fascinating and it’s amazing to be able to help people in a career choice. I love seeing people getting better especially those who have given up hope on living without pain.

What are you most afraid of?

Sharks (hahaha)

What is your strongest personal quality?

What is your best memory from this summer?

I was in Scotland, fishing, a couple of weeks ago and I caught my first salmon! 5 years of finishing and I finally caught one:)Claire 2

If you could witness any event of the past, present, or future, what would it be?

I love history and would like to see the Stonegate being built. To understand what the stones are for and what the people building it had been thinking.

What do you like about Fulham Massage & Wellness?

The team is great and it’s a very welcoming place. The area and all clients are just amazing. Brilliant experience so far.

What is your favourite sport?

It’s netball, I loved to play it but haven’t had a chance to play for a little while now.

What's your favourite place to eat?

I like to try new places and different things so I don’t have one. Other than my granny’s roast dinner of course:)
