Therapist Spotlight - Fran

This time, we interviewed Fran, our excellent massage therapist. Read what she's like when she doesn't massage people and what's her idea of a perfect life!

Fran, where are you from and how long have you been living in London?

I’m from Brighton, living in London for 6 years now.

What do you like doing in your free time?

I like exercising, going to the gym, taking part in classes and just relaxing - watching TV and films.

What were you like in high school?

I guess the same as I am now – quite friendly, active and studious.

If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why?

I think I would be a tortoise. I have them at home in Brighton and I think they live a perfect life, just eating, laying in the sun all day and that’s it.

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently?

Hmm, I tripped over in the gym in front of everyone; there was a dumbbell on the floor and I missed it! It was funny, but also embarrassing.

How did you meet your fiancé, Josh?20180909 205114

We met at university, but the first time we met I actually don’t remember! It was a boozy party… The second time we met, we were at the club in Kingston.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

I would hope I would be in the process of moving back to Brighton, still doing massage, maybe set up my own massage business in Brighton – I’m just missing the sea.

What do you like about massage?

I just love helping people. Having people coming to see me in pain and being able to see them feeling better after the session, it’s just great.

If you were not a massage therapist, what would your other career choice be?

I did a sports science at uni. For a short while I wanted to work with a sports team, doing physiology and lab testing – that’s probably what I would go for.

What do you like about Fulham Massage & Wellness?

I like people; I think people are the best. I also love our clients; they are just all so lovely.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?

I guess somewhere I‘ve never been before, like America, maybe New York. It would be something new to me.

What are you most afraid of?

I don’t think I have anything like that, I’m not that bothered with spiders or these types of things. I think I’m afraid of failing.

What’s your favourite food?

Chocolate!

Have you got a favourite place in London?

Not sure actually. I went to Royal Observatory in Greenwich a few times on my birthday. The view there is amazing, so that’s probably it.

How do you usually spend your Christmas?

With my family, at home in Brighton. It’s usually very simple - lots of fizz, lots of food and just the closest family.
